Earlier this summer, my family and I enjoyed a great trip out west to California. We started in LA and worked our way up the coast to San Francisco and finally we spent a few days in Sonoma and Napa. It was a really great chance to check out a new area of the country for me! I think so of the things that really made California that much different from my neck of the woods is that there are mountains, redwoods, and microclimates. Here in Florida in the summer, it is hot. End of story. California has some beautiful vistas and scenic areas including so many seals just hanging out along the water. It was a great vacation and great to see some more of what makes America a great place to check out and see from sea to shining sea!

One of our favorite things of the area was wine country. We visited 5 different wineries including Korbel, Sonoma Cutrer, Silverado, Frog's Leap, and Chateau Montelena (as see in the movie Bottle Shock). It was really cool to see how all this great wine is made and how great it tastes! For us the coolest one was Frog's Leap. It was a very green operation complete with an awesome organic garden and very friendly atmosphere!

At the end of the summer, I am going to be changing scenery to a bit more of a moderate
climate. I am going to be moving up to Rhode Island. More info in the upcoming weeks, but for now enjoy the rest of your summer as I will be enjoying mine!
