Happy May and Graduation!!

This past weekend I graduated from the Crummer Graduate School of Business with my MBA.  It was the culmination of 2 and a half years of basically having a second job, but not getting paid.  The reward finally game, when the Rollins President, Dr. Lewis Duncan, gave me my hard earned diploma.  Compared to the under graduate ceremony which my sister will partake in this coming weekend, it was just over an hour, efficient and to the point.  Much of what you would expect from a business school graduation.
Our speaker was Florida Senator Mel Martinez who received an honorary doctorate degree from Rollins.  He was probably the most notable graduation speaker I have had the privelege of seeing.  After the ceremony I got to meet him which was also cool.  As a Cuban-American he is a big inspiration to me as far as how far you can go if you work hard and are determined.  After the ceremony we visited my sister's senior are exhibit at the Cornell Fine Art Museum.
To learn more about her and see more of her art, check out her new website: elysemoore.com
To celebrate we went to dinner at a great gastropub in Winter Park, FL called The Ravenous Pig.  If anyone is looking for a good place for a tasty, local sourced dinner, I highly recommend it!  We get to start this graduation process all over again with my sister, so there will be more to report from the Class of 2009 Rollins Graduation!

On Monday I am headed to Europe to begin recruiting for the Class of 2014!  A quick glimpse of my schedule:

5/12 - 15 London, UK
5/18 - 20 Paris, France
5/20 - 22 Geneva, Switzerland
5/24- 28 Istanbul, Turkey
6/1 - 3 Amsterdam and The Hague, The Netherlands

Keep checking out my blog as I will be posting from the road as I can!
