feliz año nuevo!

Only 2 weeks into 2008 and I am already back starting classes, and we are almost at last years application total!! This is great news for us meaning that there is a good possibility that we will be up on applications for this year. I thought I would ad a holiday re-cap to see my winter adventures!

The big things that occurred with me this holiday include spending time at home with the family, hanging out in Florida and unfortunately working. I was able to get to a thrashers game shortly after Christmas which was supposed to be a surprise for my sister in that she was going to get to ride the zamboni, something that had been her dream(oddly enough). With an odd turn of events, it was I who actually boarded the zamboni because she was not the required 21 years of age to ride the Molson Canadian zamboni. Although she was wearing a Jack Daniels sweatshirt at the time, she was not able to be near a product that promoted alcohol. So, begrudgingly, I boarded the ice cleaner and rode around for 4 minutes. It was fun, but I was not happy that I stole my sisters dream. Don't worry though, she did get to ride it a few weeks later. I also visited the Coca-Cola Museum, which is something you need to check out in ATL, but you may not need to go back! It was fun, but I think we sampled too many different kinds of soda. Do not drink the soda from Italy called BEVERLY... it does NOT taste good!

In addition to my time in Blueland, I spent some time with Jeanne in Orlando. I finally have visited all 4 Disney theme parks in Orlando. Jeanne and I went to Animal Kingdom, EPCOT and Magic Kingdom. We rode all of the cool rides, had lunch in "Germany", watched cool fireworks and even got stuck behind the Mickey Mouse holiday parade. It was a fun day, although we spent 15 hours at Disney. The next day we hung out with the family in Oviedo, including a dose of New Year's Eve bowling at Aloma Bowl. It was a great time although our arms were definitely sore afterwards.

It was a nice relaxing time, and this weekend I am on my way back up to Massachusetts. Happy MLK jr. weekend, rest up, next week will be here before we know it!
