It seems every year that the new class comes to check in on campus brings new adventures. This year it was a nice little tropical storm that made everything way more wet and soggy than is normal for this time of year. Even though us who are normally used to this kind of weather were a little stir crazy, it seemed that all of the new students were having a blast being stuck on campus! As for the international student representation, this was the largest class in Rollins history! It is a big thing for me and I hope the class of 2013 will be even bigger. It seems it is my pet project to increase Rollins' footprint globally and things are looking good!
In other news, since it has been forever since I have posted, there have been some pretty good things have happened of late!
Spain won Euro 2008 over Germany, which caused one of my friends not to speak to me for quite some time. I was quite happy because I have had to watch them make early exits from every international competition in the past 14 years.

The Olympics were also pretty crazy being that they have taken up the past 3ish weeks of my life. The USA had a great showing and I watched more Volleyball and Water Polo than I have in my entire life combined. It was a lot of fun to watch and cheer on USA and most specifically Michael Phelps' 8 gold medals.
Red Sox seem to be stuck in Second Place in the AL East but doing well in the Wild Card race. It will be a stressful of a September than I had hoped in April. A couple of injuries and losing Manny has made for a different look to the team, but at this point we just need to get ourselves into October!
Finally it seems like only yesterday I stopped traveling for the year, but on Saturday I begin again. I am off to Latin America with visits to Argentina, Panama and then Ecuador. It is gonna be an even busier travel season than last year and I am almost ready to get started!! I guess that means summer is over...
